Shakespeare on the Sound Presents: An Introduction to ‘As You Like It’

“Do you not know I am a woman? When I think I must speak.” - Rosalind, As You Like It
Fun Fact: In Shakespeare's romantic comedy As You Like It, his version of Into the Woods, the heroine Rosalind has more lines than any other female character in all of Shakespeare: more lines than Cleopatra or Juliet, more than twice as many lines as Lady Macbeth.
Join Shakespeare on the Sound Education Director Nick Urda and board member/Shakespeare teacher John Love for an interactive presentation on As You Like It, in which they detail why they consider Rosalind to be Shakespeare's greatest heroine and AYLI his most interesting comedy.
The program comes to the Library just in time for As You Like It, Shakespeare on the Sound's 27th annual summer production, in Rowayton's Pinkney Park (June 14 - July 2).
