A benefit event to support the next phase of our employment program

In November 2021, Westport Book Sales began selling books on eBay. Now the organization is piloting an expansion of its employment program, to engage employees with differing abilities in its eBay business. Participation in the eBay business will provide training in valuable computer, data entry and office-type skills, broadening the work experience and marketability of its employees. And it will provide support for Westport Book Sales' fledgling online sales business.
Join Westport Book Sales at The Westport Library on Wednesday, October 25, for Chapter Two: Spanning From Retail to E-tail, to help raise funds to support this next phase of its employment program.
The event will feature live music by Zoe's Lounge, light bites and beverages, a paddle-raise, and both a live and a silent auction of a representative sample of the kinds of things we sell on eBay, plus artwork and signed books donated uniquely for this event.
Click here for a catalog of auction items. The catalog will include: a first edition of Saint-Exupery's The Little Prince; a poster autographed by Sylvester Stallone; books signed by Laura Linney; two new copies of The New Yorker in Westport donated by its authors, Eve Potts and Andrew Bentley; a custom lenticular artwork created by Miggs Burroughs; and much more!
Plus, you can bid on the opportunity for you and three guests to have one-hour exclusive access to the next Westport Library Big Fall Book Sale, on December 1, 2023, or the Big Spring Book Sale on May 17, 2024, before anyone else is admitted to the sale!
Chapter Two benefit tickets are $75 per person, and are available for purchase now!
