On view in the Library's South Gallery, located outside of the cafe, is an exhibit of woven work by imaginative artist Tina Puckett. Her work is on view from December 7, 2022, through February 28, 2023.
Puckett looks for natural materials, grown locally, that she incorporates into different woven forms. A favored material is the Bittersweet vine which she uses to create fantastic forms in tune to the harmony of shapes, forms, and colors of the vines and reeds, resulting in one of a kind sculptured vessels and objects.
Puckett’s work has been on display at the Cheongju International Craft Biennial in South Korea, Moesgard Museum in Denmark, and more locally at The Hill-Stead Museum, Bruce Museum and Slater Museum. She has also had showing in many galleries including Noble Horizons Gallery, Westport Arts Center, River Street Gallery, Doncaster Gallery, Washington Art Association, and Kent Art Association.
The featured image, by Puckett, is titled "Waves of Many Colors," and the second image is "Garden of Flowers."
