Workshop Details

Get ready to think like an engineer, design like an architect, and compete like a champion! In this STEAM Bridge Challenge session, students will dive into the fascinating world of bridge design while putting their creativity and problem-solving skills to the test. They will explore how bridges are built around the world, examining different styles, structures, and the engineering principles that make them strong and stable.

Students in grades 6-8 will then take on the role of engineers as they plan and design their own bridges, applying real-world concepts to guide their builds. Along the way, they will collaborate, think critically, and innovate as they refine their designs.

The excitement builds as students put their bridges in a playoff-style competition, where each bridge is tested under increasing weight in elimination rounds. Which design will hold strong and come out on top? This session is taught by instructors from Ponus Ridge STEAM Academy.
