Summer Reggae Dance Party with Mystic Bowie's Talking Dreads

After honoring the legendary Keith Richards in March (yes, that Keith Richards), The Westport Library rocked out as the World's Loudest Library during four days of concerts in April.
Now, Verso Studios at The Westport Library and DinkinEsh Presents keep that fun VersoFest vibe going with Mystic Bowie's Talking Dreads ... for a you-can't-miss, you-gotta-be-there reggae concert event!
For a magical Friday evening, Mystic Bowie's Talking Dreads will take the Library's Trefz Forum by storm with their trademark fun Caribbean swagger and bouncy reggae rhythms. Get up and hit the dance floor with the funkiest versions of Talking Heads and other reggae tunes you'll ever groove to at this crazy Summer Reggae Dance Party!
Doors open at 6 pm with a set from Tim “Journeys by DJ” Fielding. Mystic takes the stage at 7:30 pm.
At 5:45 pm, Khemi's Vegan Cuisine Mobile Eatery will be set up in the Library parking lot for those looking for something delicious before they head into the show.
“Talking Dreads play Talking Heads songs as shimmering one-drop reggae jewels. Tom Tom Club vet Mystic Bowie plays Talking Heads songs by swapping out urbanity for roots and sincerity.” – Salon
Chris Frantz, founding Talking Head and Tom Tom Club band member said: “The combination of classic Heads lyrics and Caribbean/reggae rhythms is a total home run! Talking Dreads’ sound is tight, and everyone from the lead singer to the band members to the back up singers to the folks selling Talking Dreads merchandise is 100% professional. We had a blast the night of the show and we walked away with a definite bounce in our step. Can’t wait for the next stop on their tour. Definitely going back for more.“
“Yes yes y’all!”
