Bill Owens is currently the associate principal trumpet of the West Point Band. Upon receiving his Bachelor’s degree from the Juilliard School in 2005, Bill moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career as a freelance chamber and orchestral musician. He quickly established himself by performing with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the San Diego Symphony, and the Santa Barbara Symphony, as well as numerous other orchestras in Southern California. For six years, Bill was a member of the national touring ensemble Presidio Brass. While maintaining a busy performing schedule with Presidio, Bill and organist Alison Luedecke performed recitals in venues throughout SoCal. In addition to performing, Bill is the artistic director of the Purchase Symphonic Winds as well as a member of the chamber music faculty at SUNY Purchase. He continues to write, edit and arrange music within varying contexts, including his recent publication Basic Training for Trumpet, and a series of arrangements for solo trumpet and organ.

Yalin has also performed with principal trombonist of the New York Philharmonic Joseph Alessi, principal trumpet of the London Symphony Orchestra Philip Cobb, clarinetists Alexander Fiterstein and Charles Neidich, concertmaster of the Seoul Symphony Orchestra Wayne Lin, concertmaster of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra Andrew Wan, with the Knights chamber orchestra, and regularly performs with the Albany Symphony and the New Jersey Festival Orchestra.
As a soloist, Yalin has appeared with the Green Bay Symphony Orchestra, the Hudson Valley Philharmonic, the Bard Orchestra, the Central Opera Symphony Orchestra, and the West Point Band. Yalin has held the principal keyboard position at the Hudson Valley Philharmonic since 2014 and has been pianist with the West Point Band since 2008. Originally from Beijing, China, Yalin studied at the Interlochen Arts Academy before earning her bachelor’s and master’s at the Juilliard School, where she studied with Seymour Lipkin and Jerome Lowenthal, and pursued additional studies with Peter Frankl at Yale School of Music.
