The Westport Library Big Fall Book Sale 2026

The Big Fall Book Sale offers something for everyone, with thousands of gently used books in more than 50 categories of fiction and non-fiction for readers of all ages, including Noteworthy, especially antiquarian books and vintage children’s books. Plus a huge assortment of DVDs, CDs, vintage vinyl records, ephemera, and jigsaw puzzles.

The book sale hours, with free admission, are as follows:

• Friday, November 6: 12-6 pm*
• Saturday, November 7: 9 am - 5 pm
• Sunday, November 8: 11 am - 5 pm (almost everything half-price; $1 fiction and $1 children’s books remain $1)
• Monday, November 9: 9 am - 4 pm (shoppers can fill our logo bag for $10 per bag, or their own equivalent-sized bag for $8, or buy individual items at half-price)

*On Friday morning, November 6, from 8:45 am to 12 pm, the Book Sale will be open only to patrons who purchase an Early Access ticket in advance. Tickets are $38 each (no additional fees), and a maximum of 125 will be sold. Early Access tickets are available for purchase here through Thursday, November 5 at 5 pm. Any remaining tickets may be sold at the door on Friday, first come, first served, after those who purchased in advance have entered. For more information, visit the Big Fall Book Sale website.

Of special interest for this sale:

• A large assortment of jigsaw puzzles, ideal for gifting and cozy nights in.
• A diverse offering of framed artworks, from small desktop pieces to large wall pictures.
• Antiquarian books and vintage children’s books, along with vintage vinyl, ephemera, DVDs, and CDs.
• A dedicated $1 Fiction Room, a conference room filled with hardcover fiction, mystery, science fiction and fantasy, young adult books, and paperback novels, all priced at just $1 each. These books, along with $1 children’s books, stay $1 on half-price Sunday.

Please bring your own bags, boxes, and rolling carts, as boxes will not be available. To keep the aisles and exits clear, shoppers are asked to evaluate items in place and return any rejected books to where they found them.

The Big Fall Book Sale is made possible only through the dedication of our volunteers, and many helping hands are needed to help with setup and staffing the sale.
