Join The Y's Men of Westport/Weston at The Westport Library for an illuminating evening with Craig Melvin, co-anchor of NBC’s TODAY and co-host of third hour of TODAY. Melvin will share stories from his career at the NBC News desk and his transition into his current role as a co-host of NBC’s flagship morning program.

About Craig Melvin
Craig Melvin is the co-anchor on NBC News’ TODAY, a co-host of the “3rd Hour of TODAY” and a host of syndicated “Dateline NBC” broadcasts. Melvin has covered a wide range of news events, including several Republican and Democratic National Conventions and three Presidential Inaugurations. His coverage of politics has included notable interviews with former President Bill Clinton, then-Vice President Joe Biden, former Ambassador Nikki Haley, and former Secretaries of State John Kerry, Mike Pompeo and Condoleezza Rice. In addition, he has also covered five Olympic Games and six Super Bowls. Prior to joining NBC News and MSNBC in July 2011, Melvin was a weekend anchor for WRC, NBC’s owned-and-operated station in Washington, DC. Before that, Melvin earned acclaim as an evening news anchor at WIS in Columbia, South Carolina, which is also his hometown.
Melvin is the author of two books: Pops: Learning to Be a Son and a Father and the children’s book I’m Proud of You.
About the Y's Men
The Y’s Men of Westport/Weston, an organization of over 550 retired and semi-retired men, is the largest group of its kind in Fairfield County. Members are from diverse professional backgrounds including executives from major corporations; businessmen; advertising, public relations, marketing and media executives; physicians; computer experts; airline pilots; government officials; artists; and musicians.
Every week, on Thursday at 10 am from September through May, members can attend a meeting and hear prominent individuals share their experiences. The speakers include national and state legislators, historians, authors, financial experts, filmmakers and legal and medical professionals.
