The Westport Young Filmmaker's Forum will screen five stunning films produced by students at Staples High School. This event will take place in the Trefz Forum. The opening reception will started at 6:30 pm, followed by the film screenings at 7 pm.
These well-crafted and incredibly impressive short films were produced as part of Staples’ Independent Learning Experience Program* under the direction of Staples’ Media Studies Teacher Advisor Lauren Bullock. The films were produced during the 2021-22 school year.
We welcome the community to join us for this debut public screening of the community's young, talented filmmakers.
Light refreshments will be served. Following the films will be a short talkback with the filmmakers, moderated by Bullock.

* The Staples High School Independent Learning Experience is a pathway for learners who want to accelerate their learning beyond the classroom setting. This pathway is available to students in grades 9-12 who exhibit a strong desire to work independently on an enriching project, coursework or independent study that is not otherwise offered at Staples High School. Through an Independent Learning Experience, students spend a semester or full year independently or collaboratively moving forward to bring that passion project to fruition, with the support of the Independent Learning Experiences teacher and a faculty mentor.
