Class Details

Explore the night sky in this beginner-friendly astrophotography class with award-winning master photographer and Westport Astronomical Society member Steven Labkoff, MD. Using just a digital camera and a tripod (and in some cases your phone camera), you’ll learn how to capture stunning images of stars, constellations, and the moon — no advanced training required. We’ll cover the best skies, the right gear, essential camera settings, simple techniques for shooting in low light, and tips for composing beautiful night sky images.
