Explore Robert Frost’s poetry with Westport Poet Laureate Donna Disch in this three-part seminar.

Expect delight, irony, wit, introspection, and lyrical zeal as we delve into Frost’s poetry, exploring his experiences and observations of rural life, nature, and the human spirit. In this class, we will probe and discuss Frost’s abiding sense of wonder — be it wonder in the mysterious sense of awe or wonder in the more expansive and inquisitive sense of searching and questioning the how and why of our existence.

Come to engage and exchange or simply listen as we delve into all that is “lovely, dark and deep” in the poems of this illustrious poet. Each session of this three-part seminar will focus on a different selection of Frost’s poems, which are linked here.

About the Instructor

Donna Disch has been a teacher and editor as well as a lifelong reader, writer, and beneficiary of the art and craft of poetry. She holds an MFA from Vermont College and has published her work in various journals and magazines. She is currently Westport’s poet laureate.
