Hailing from a corporate marketing background, Lori found herself blending the love of a career and her passion for local food advocacy through the Westport Farmers’ Market. Currently, Lori serves as Executive Director and board member of the Westport Farmers’ Market. Lori lends her marketing and event planning talents to provide impactful programming for community members in need, female veterans and youth in our Fairfield County community. Lori is acknowledged for her programming through Westport Farmers’ Market that focused on supporting local farmers while feeding our neighbors in need through education and food.
Lori has also worked closely with area chefs and farmers to find solutions to food distribution issues, including Crop-ups, an organization that facilitated the meeting of chefs and farmers in a central place to exchange goods. In recent years, she has been a board member of the Connecticut Northeast Organic Farmers Association (CTNOFA) and has consulted on issues of food advocacy for Wholesome Wave on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. She was the recipient of the 2016 Alyce Block award from the Fairfield County Farm Bureau, recognizing her as a woman who has made noteworthy contributions to the farming community in Fairfield County and throughout Connecticut. The Westport Chamber of Commerce named her First Citizen in 2019. She has accomplished the rankings of #1 in Connecticut and #26 in the country per the esteemed American Farmland Trust. Lori is acknowledged for her programming through Westport Farmers’ Market that focused on supporting local farmers while feeding our neighbors in need through education and food.
