In conjunction with The Westport Library, the Y’s Men of Westport / Weston present a taste history of Connecticut beer. Jeff Browning will lead the event. Jeff is the managing partner of Brewport Brewing Company in Bridgeport. He has been brewing beer since shortly after President Jimmy Carter legalized homebrewing in 1978.
In case you missed the event, you may watch the recorded program here.
Jeff has been collecting “breweriana” for most of his life. His collection includes hundreds of “batch sheets” from Connecticut breweries — actual recipes brewers used to brew beer here in Connecticut before and after prohibition.
Attendees will taste beers made for today’s beer loving palate as well as some “historically accurate” beers.
PLEASE NOTE: Program is open to all ages; tasting portion is for those 21 and over.
