Event Details

The LeeVees offer a night of amazing family-friendly music from their Warner Bros/Reprise Records classic and critically acclaimed record. The band delivers their original music with humor and warmth, creating a memorable evening for all in the room. Guster and Zambonis tunes join the set too!

About The LeeVees

Adam Gardner (Guster) and Dave Schneider (The Zambonis) joined forces in 2005 and started a band called The LeeVees. They wrote four songs about Hanukkah and were quickly signed to a record deal. "Chanukah Rocks" was released on Warner Bros/Reprise Records, kicking off the band's journey.

NPR Tiny Desk Concert creator Bob Boilen called it "the best holiday record of the decade, without question."

The LeVees Are: Adam Gardner (Guster), Dave Schneider (Zambonis), Shawn Fogel (Golden Bloom), Dan Saks (Deleon), and Dave Butler (Guster).

Notable Highlights & Press

  • NPR Tiny Desk Concert (December 2023): A career highlight — Bob Boilen came out of retirement to personally introduce the band for the special episode.
  • PBS Special, "The Story of Hanukkah" (debuted Chicago, December 2024): A one-hour special featuring interviews with Adam and Dave, exclusive live performances, and five LeeVees songs. The special won an Emmy and was distributed nationally in 2025.
  • Touring: The band has toured extensively with Barenaked Ladies, Matisyahu, and Guster, and performed with the Boston Pops at Symphony Hall, in addition to headlining their own tours.
  • TV placements: Three LeeVees songs were featured on Grey's Anatomy; their song "Goyim Friends" appeared on The Cleveland Show (a Family Guy spinoff).
  • 20th Anniversary release (2025): A vinyl-only reissue of Chanukah Rocks with bonus tracks, including the newly recorded song "The Pennie."
