Elaine Allen Daignault, the Town of Westport's Director of Human Services, is a Nationally Certified Mental Health Counselor. Elaine has a 25-year work history serving Westport's youth, seniors, and families in various educational and social services settings. A 40+ year Westport resident, she graduated from Staples High School, received a B.S. at Colorado State University, an M.A. in Mental Health Counseling at Fairfield University, and holds a certificate in Nonprofit Leadership from the University of Wisconsin. Elaine and her husband Jesse have two college-aged children, Jackson (22) and Mia (19). Elaine is passionate about celebrating diversity, enhancing access to programs and services for all, and advocating for inclusivity through education, collaboration, and community-building initiatives.
