Verso University Presents: Topics in Contemporary Graphic Design

Over four sessions join 25 year veteran of marketing, design, and innovation, Randy Herbertson, for a comprehensive overview of the current world of Graphic Design. Class will meet on Wednesdays, from March 6 through March 27, 4-5:30 pm, in the Library's Brooks Place program room. Participants will gain insight into the dynamic requirements and demands of today's design industry, uncovering personal creative strengths and an understanding of competencies needed in contemporary graphic design, as well as an understanding of the profound impact of design on audiences and society. Below is an overview of what will be covered each week.

Have you ever wondered how the iconic Great Wave was actually made? Or who the women in Utamaro’s Three Great Beauties were and how they lived? Curious about prints of kabuki actors striking a pose, or why Monet and Van Gogh collected Japanese prints?
Join us for a Verso University series on Japanese Woodblock Prints: Great Beauties, Great Waves, Great Tales, occurring on every other  Wednesday morning from 10-11:30am, starting on March 27 and ending on May 8th. The course will meet in the Library's Komansky Program Room.
